Dr. Hui-Qi Tong (童慧琦) is responsible for liaison between PAU and mental health institutes in China and providing clinical consultation to supervisors and academic advising to students.
 
Dr. Tong is also an Assistant Clinical Professor at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), School of Medicine and an active member of UCSF's Global Mental Health Program. She is among the very few ones who received training in Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology in China and USA, respectively . She completed her psychiatry residency training with the Shanghai Mental Health Center and her internship and post-doctoral fellowship with a focus on trauma at UCSF/ San Francisco VA Medical Center. 


Dr. Tong is also a co-founder of California Institute of Health. An experienced mindfulness teacher and a visiting scholar at the Oxford Mindfulness Center, Dr. Tong is committed to the development of mindfulness-based approaches to promote mental and physical well-being, peace and compassion in a global Chinese community.

Jianying Qiu, Doctor of Medicine, Chief Physician of Shanghai Mental Health Center (SMHC), and Master’s Instructor of Psychiatry at School of Medicine, Shanghai Jiaotong University.


Dr. Qiu served as the visiting fellow at Harvard Medical School in 2002 and 2012. She attended the Department of Psychiatry in Prince of Wales Hospital (affiliated to Chinese University of Hong Kong) in 2003 and the Research Institute of Mental Health in University of Nottingham in 2010.  
Dr. Qiu is currently the Deputy Director of Clinical Psychology Department in SMHC, School of Medicine, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Director of Psychological Counseling and Therapy Research Office, and Deputy Director of Medical Psychology Office of Mental Health Major, School of Medicine, Shanghai Jiaotong University. Dr. Qiu is interested in the clinical and basic research of women’s mental health, as well as the clinical training and research of psychological counseling and therapy.  


Dr. Qiu also serves as the Standing Committee Member and Secretary- General of Chinese Association for Mental Health – Psychoanalysis Committee and Shanghai Association for Mental Health; the Committee Member of Chinese Association for Mental Health - Psychological Counseling and Therapy Committee, Women’s Mental Health Committee of Chinese Medical Association – Psychiatry Branch, Shanghai Family Planning and Fertility Council, and Shanghai Behavioral Medicine Association. She is the Registered Supervisor of the Psychological Counseling and Therapy Committee of Chinese Psychological Association, a member of American Association of Group Therapy , the Principal and a Member of Teaching Faculty of Chinese – German Psychoanalysis Continuous Training Program, a candidate for being a psychoanalyst accredited by International Psychoanalytic Association, and an Editorial Board Member of Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in China.

 

 

 

 

 

Chi Zhang, M.S.

Dr. Zhang, Vice-Director of Psychological Quality Education Center at Beijing Jiaotong University, received his Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Capital Medical University and his Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Medicine from North China University of Science and Technology. He also serves as the Honorary Vice-Director of Psychological Health Education and Counseling Center at Peking University, the Senior Consultant of the Stress Management Center at Beijing Anding Hospital, Member of the Professional Committee of Chinese Psychological Health Association, the Visiting Professor at National Government Offices Administration, Counselor at Beijing Social Life Psychological Health Counseling Center and Member of the Specialists Mission presenting lectures organized by Beijing Federation of Trade Unions.


Dr. Zhang is the editor of Group Psychological Training, Career Plaining for Colleges Students and How to Become a Good Doctor Who Communicates with Patients in the Right Way. He participated in the editing work of several text books as well, such as Mental Health of College Students – the Self–Help Manuel, Dialogues with Feng-Chi Yang in Focus Therapy, Grasping Your Future – Career Prospect for College Students and the Workbook for Psychological Commissioners.


With the purpose of spreading the idea of passing on energy with love, Dr. Zhang has been hosting EPA training programs and mental health lectures in hundreds of institutions and companies in China, such as National Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Ministry of Civil Affairs, National Ministry of Land and Resources, Beijing Health Supervision Institute, Beijing Taxation Bureau, Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Beijing 301 Hospital, China Armed Police General Hospital, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Beijing Normal University, Capital Normal University, Capital Medical University, Sinopec Management Institute, China National Offshore Oil Corporation, Creentown China Holdings Limited, Standard Chartered, China Minsheng Bank, etc.
