PAU M.A. Counseling Program Hosts Its Open Pouse in Shanghai Mental Health Center

An open house presenting the M.A. Counseling of Palo Alto University was held in Shanghai Mental Health Center on July 4th 2015. Around 15 perspective students attended the event to experience this systematic counseling education opportunity. The program director Dr. Hui-Qi Tong, the associate director Dr. Jian-Yin Qiu and the recruitment counselor Emma Shi gave their thorough presentations of the program from 3 different perspectives.

With the gentle and comforting voice of Dr. Tong, the open house started in a brief mindfulness session called An Old Well and An Cobblestone, which helped to build a soothing relationship among all attendees and encouraged them to explore the true intents of coming to this event. Dr. Tong then shared with everyone her observation of the present situation of counseling education in the U.S. and its career prospect.
